FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING
  •  Ensure all transactions are input into the relevant accounting system for the month and necessary monthly financial reporting is undertaken in line with shareholder and other requirements
  • Preparation and presentation of quarterly board reports
  • Attendance to statutory audits and preparation of annual financial statements
  • Management variance reporting in line with business unit requirements
  • Annual budgeting for the operations
  • Monthly and quarterly forecasting
  • Overseeing monthly statutory filings for VAT and managing the relationship with SARS
  • Ensure calculation of income tax and effective filing of provisional and final returns
  • cash management – payments of relevant suppliers
  • Invoicing and revenue collection

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
  • Manage key stakeholder (senior lenders, shareholders, board of directors, community representatives and contracting partners) agreements and contracts
  • Daily management , overseeing and reporting on implementation of the Finance Agreements (Common Terms Agreements, EPC Direct Agreement, Performance Bond, Direct Agreement, Direct Distribution, Equity Contribution Agreement & Hedging) and Project Agreements (Power Purchase Agreement, Implementation Agreement, Eskom Distribution), Operation & Management agreement, Lease Agreement and Management Executive Services.
  • Management of Community Agreement & day-to-day agreements.
  • Quarterly reporting to the Board
COMPLIANCE
  • Company secretarial services (management of board / shareholder meetings, management statutory records & management of administration of secretarial responsibility and management of the corporate records and administration.
  • Development, management of Policies, training and contractual obligation
  • Liaison with Department of Energy and Eskom on reporting
  • Ensure compliance management on all contractual fronts and as required by Regulators
  • Environmental, Health and Safety Audits as required.
  • Management of Reporting requirements by different Regulators
HUMAN RESOURCES
  • Recruiting and employee induction , ensuring payroll updates, arrange for training requirements of staff
  • Coordination of departmental work plans; performance management and succession planning plans
  • Ensure regulatory and contractual employment targets are reached
  • Ensure necessary industry and other skills development submissions
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

SED MANAGEMENT & IMPLEMENTATION
  • Implementation of the proposed SED Programme
  • Quarterly reporting on progress of implemented programme to the DoE and adhering to the reporting obligation as per Implementation
  • Agreement and to the Board.
  • Quarterly reporting to the Board or as set in SLA
INFRASTRUCTURAL COSTS
  • Ensure securing of appropriate leases for office rentals and related office equipment and supplies
  • Manage IT support for office equipment- hardware, software
  • Ensure maintenance of offices and ensure necessary structural changes where required
  • Ensure office space and parking for new recruits
  • Arrange for site offices and maintenance
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AND PROCUREMENT
  • Ensure optimization of logistical strategy and planning including necessary transportation, insurance, warehousing
  • Quality control around selected supplies
  • Ensure necessary processes around procurement are established and implemented
  • Ensure document management to enable reporting in line with the sector Scorecard is appropriately maintained
